Know your units

Men should not regularly drink more than three to four units of alcohol per day.

Women should not regularly drink more than two to three units of alcohol per day.

The limit is lower for women because women's bodies have less water and a higher ratio of fat than men, making women less able to dilute alcohol in the body. Therefore women do not process alcohol as effectively. To help you, use the calculator.
